| ScoreBergen, the Bergen Chapter of SCORE, Counselors to America’s Small Business, will hold part one of a two-session Business Plan Preparation workshop for would-be entrepreneurs and those who are already in business. Part two is scheduled for Thursday evening, March 25. Both sessions will take place from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM at IKEA’s Paramus store at the junction of Routes 4 and 17. The workshops will be conducted by Peter Loder, graduate business school professor; former president of a software development company and information systems designer and developer. The first of the two workshops will cover all the major parts of the business plan: business description, market analysis, attracting and retaining customers, operations, strategic positioning and risk assessment, management and financials. The second session will stress the generation of income and expense figures for a business concept or ongoing business situation. The second session stresses the generation of income and expense figures for either a new or anexisting business. Cost for the two-part workshop is $35.00 if paid in advance or $40.00 at the door. Additional participants in the same party pay $20.00 each. For only one part, the cost is $20 in advance, $25 at the door and $10 for additional participants. The fee includes all printed materials.
